Perfect place to cool off for a bit from the hot sun! Don't do what we did and drive up the gravel road to the top! That was scary in our car and its not the actual waterfall spot! There is a turn off you need to take (on the left) as you approach the canyon. If you hit the gravel gray stone road, you're making it harder on yourself. The left turn will lead you into a camp ground, where there is an information board and a designated parking area on the right. I would not recommended driving your car down the red dirt road to the actual falls; it has a lot of sand, boulders, and switchbacks! Its less than .5 miles, you can walk it! flip flops not recommended here as you'll be kicking up sand. We walked in and found the falls completed secluded and stayed for about 30 minutes. Travel tip: when you are walking the red sandy road, and get to the fork in the road (literally) that says creek to the left, and faux falls to the right, go to the right!! (I know, duh, but its actually confusing!)! Follow the red dirt road and you will be rewarded! Beautiful red rocks all around, stunning backdrop, and if you're lucky like we were, you may even have this magical place all to yourself! Greenery flourishes here in the summer, which was striking against the red rocks. Water shoes, sunscreen, and bathing suit required for an epic afternoon cool down :) Enjoy!
Not sure why hours are listed, Google directions take you to the top of the falls, where there's a small turnout/parking. Can hike down a few hundred yards along the falls to the bottom. Hike is relatively steep, but not too difficult. Great secluded spot!
This is a really fun waterfall to visit it was very easy to hike to and had a lot of fun rocks for the kids to climb.
There are beautiful man made falls. You can hike to them from Ken's campground. There was a hole drilled through the ridge to get water from Mill Creek to Ken's Lake. The water flows down beautiful red rock. Definitely a fun hike from the campground. You will be surprised at the beauty of the area.
One of the coolest waterfalls I have ever visited!
