My daughter in law had horrible experience in the ER at this hospital. She was treated like a second hand citizen. Tourist that came in after her were treated first and she was sent at the back of the line. She is pregnant and having severe cramping. The staff didn't follow proper procedures. She was basically neglected while waiting 4 hours. They sent her home with a band-aid so to speak , but may have been having a miscarriage. No stars for them.
They might not have all the doctors as a big city hospital but they will definitely go out of their way to help in an emergency. Everyone that helped me was very kind and helpful to me.
If I could give zero stars I would. I came in with serious back pain yesterday and again tonight. Both times I was sent home with a note off work for not even a week and a referral to physical therapy. That would be fine if I had been told what's going on with my back, but they gave me zero answers. On top of the poor information given, the staff I had tonight were incredibly catty. When I asked what the prognosis was, one of the nurses responded with "Well we can't just make your pain go away. It doesn't work like that. It takes time." Wow. Really? Didn't think you could snap your finger and fix it but all I was asking for was what the problem is so I can tell my work what's going on. The doctor I had yesterday was not informative, but at least he showed care and concern. I'm infuriated that I'm being sent home with zero information. I will not recommend this hospital to anyone, in fact I'm making sure my work in the town of Moab knows the discomforting and discouraging experience I had with these people. And for the nurses and staff that were attending to me tonight, please try to keep down your voices when gossiping about other patients. Or just gossiping in general. It's unprofessional and trashy. As a healthcare worker, your main characteristic shown at work should be that you care.
In July 2017, I fell while hiking in Arches National Park and broke my arm. My experience at the ER was incredibly good; caring nurse Tim and x-ray technician Heidi (?) and Dr. Alexander. They set me up with Dr. Quinn (Ortho) to be seen two days later, and the following day I had surgery. We were traveling by motorhome at the time, and the whole process only delayed our scheduled travel by one day. I subsequently received three or four phone calls from the staff to check on my progress and well being. I could not have asked for better care.
Just got to Moab a few hours ago & our 8yo daughter was crying about ear pain, took her here...I was hesitant since the reviews we're bad but so glad I took her her! Very clean, the nurses/staff were so kind & the doctor was great. We were in & out very quickly with meds to help for a few days till we could get to a pharmacy. I highly recommend them!
