Utah needs to change its laws about alcohol. Moab Brewery has some nice options, but the effort to lower ABV really harms the product.
We went here after a long day of biking. The food was fantastic. Kind of a fun atmosphere. Most meals were about 10-15 dollars. They told us it would be about a 15 minute wait to get in, but they got us in much faster than that. Our waitress was not the greatest though. She would say she was going to come refill our waters, but then wouldn't come by for another 5-10 minutes. She seemed scatter brained. But our overall experience was great.
Coming from New Mexico, which has some of the best beer in the world, I was fairly underwhelmed. Certainly some of the best, read only, beer in the state you really can't complain.
The beer was reasonably good, the wine selections were good enough for non-beer-drinkers. Food selections are straight-forward with lots of pan-fry and deep-fry options that turned out pretty good. Nothing terribly complex, just well-priced decent food and a good selection of drinks.
Recommended by our local hotel owner. Had the hummus plate to start off and it was great! The Nut Brown Ale was our fave. The atmosphere is great with all the hanging awards they've won with their prized beer. Got the pistachio crusted chicken with raspberry habanero sauce for entree with a sized of veggies and was filling and delicious.
Moab Brewery is priced surprisingly well for a little tourist town. A large burger and fries was around $10. The beer was also amazingly priced -- around $4 with the option of buying a Moab Brewery pint glass for an additional few dollars (worth it, they have some pretty cool designs). The lines can get long on busy weekends and around 7pm, but that's to be expected for one of the better American restaurants in Moab. Still, worth the wait, especially since they give you a buzzer and you can check out the bike shop and other stores nearby while waiting.
That in mind, we enjoyed the relatively straight-forward bar-food menu.
The food came out fast and was delicious, though there was a lot left to be desired in terms of service. Certainly a local place with regulars who garner all the attention, but damn good for lunch.
