Goose island is the closest BLM camping to Arches National Park. Sites are large and accommodate RVs. There are three walk up sites for tents and two group sites. During our stay rates were $15/site/night. The area is lovely. There is no running water or electricity. There are vault toilets and a trash bin provided. For basic camping this is a lovely stop. You need to arrive early for a site during peak season as they fill early.
Awesome campground! absolutely beautiful area right next to the river. Highly recommended.
Limited spots and many are in the sun...but if you find one in the shade, great area for hiking in Arches. Stays cooler because of the river. Beautiful views but the road it is on stays busy...even late into the night! $15 a night and has bathrooms! Pups allowed! NO GATHERING FIREWOOD! We saw tons of wildlife while here and a deer even roamed into our site!
This is one of the most beautiful campgrounds right here on the Colorado River and it's very affordable
Really enjoyed the campground. Beautiful scenery in every direction. Great bike path runs right behind. Kids had a blast getting fresh spring water out of the side of the mountain! Will be back!
