My husband and I came here on vacation. He loves to mountain bike and enjoyed the trails. Nothing rated expert most very manageable. I trail ran here and really enjoyed the views and the terrain. Great place!
Didn't wind up staying in the campground like we wanted because we arrived around 3 p.m. but it wasn't terribly surprising with it being a holiday weekend. I suggest arriving before noon during the off season to get a campsite in the park.
Really beautiful at all times of day. Went for sunrise and sunset, both of which are magnificent in their own ways. The paths and fences are new. Not as much parking as I thought there's be. The day pass is good for 3 days, which is awesome for $15.
Had a great time at Dead Horse State Park. The trails were well marked and maintained. We loved it because either was dog friendly and we didn't have to leave our little girl in the car or at a kennel like we would've at Arches National Park or Canyonlands.
Really fun place to mountain bike. Next time i will bring a better mountain bike with both front songs rear shocks. My wife took a really fun hike and dead horse point it's a must see. Incredible views. Well worth the $15 entrance fee.
Great state park with stunning vistas and interesting history. Has the best setup for car camping that I can imagine with great spots for tents, enough cover that you can't see your neighbors, and a wind block that has storage space for food. Each site also has power going to it.
