If not for the amount of people who have discovered this place it would be magical. You can't beat water in the Desert, throw in a spectacular red rock canyon with ancient rock art and people will come! Go early as the Parking lot is small and will fill up quickly!
Is it summer time? Are you hot? Looking for a hike that won't kill you?Well git on down to mill creek! Plenty of spots to get in the water and cool off with a gorgeous hike in and out. Plenty of petroglyphs to be seen too, so be on the look out! Parking lot can be very full after about 2pm, but has never really been an issue for me.
This is a great hike! You have to cross a river 3 times and the water is sometimes pretty cold, but we love this hike.
Online descriptions are a bit misleading, definitely not a half mile hike, more like 1.5 or 2. There are some tricky bits for young kids, we made it with a 3 year old, but, there were challenges. Your feet/shoes will get wet before reaching the destination.
Gorgeous slightly technical hike! can be tricky to find a way back, just follow the river downstream to the parking lot. If you plan on jumping, definitely find the deep spot before taking the fall. So worth the adventure! sweet place!
