Amazing! Definitely go if you have the time! A little pricey, but worth every penny. The guides are very exciting and love what they do. The scenery is spectacular and so fun. It's unbelievable what the Hummers can do as they vertically climb up a huge Boulder. We did the 2 hour tour, the perfect one!
UPDATE: The manager responded to my concerns and will be correcting the internal problem. The response to my concerns came within 48 hours - extremely great customer service.
Quite frankly, we got a much better tour from the $5 CD we rented from the visitor's center.
My original post follows and was rated 2 stars. Since then I have been in contact with the tour manager and based on the response, I am raising the number of stars to 4.
The tour guide was not prepared for the tour.
b) He DID NOT come prepared to pay for our entrance into the park - the description of the tour says that park entrance is included. On the way to the park he said that he had forgotten to get the money.
d) As I mentioned earlier, our primary purpose for the sunset tour was to be able to see, and photograph, an awesome sunset. As it was, we were exiting a small canyon as the sun was going down and were unable to see any of the anticipated beauty.
a) He was not aware that 2 of the places he wanted to stop were closed and had been closed for at least a week.
c) He also had some of facts wrong about some of the things in the park and did not include some information that would have been very helpful for someone who had not been in the park before.
We had a great time on our Hummer tour! Our guide had been driving for over 16 years and did a great job and was so friendly! It was very cold for our sunset tour in early October, but we still had a blast and would totally recommend.
I was a bit disappointed with the Arches Sunset Tour we took on Friday 10/07/2017. Although the guide was accommodating to the fact that we had already done most of the park and were along primarily for the sunset part, I have some comments that I can only hope will be constructive...
My family of 5 did both the Jeep 4x4 sunset tour and the full day river trip. If I had to do it again I would do the afternoon river trip only. It was a bit chilly in the morning at this time of year. The views were stunning and our guide, Emily, was a dream - sweet and accommodating our silly antics. We've signed up for canyoneering with the same company since everything has been a blast so far. Sign up with these guys and feel good about it.
The Westwater trip was beautiful and there are just enough rapids to keep things fun and exciting. Aaron was a fun and engaging guide who prepared us for everything. We saw bald eagles and river otters, and the views can't be beat. Lunch was simple, but fresh and delicious. The river water was refreshing for a couple of good swims and floats outside of the raft. The only downside is the long trip to the river, but you have to go where the water is.
