Beautiful Location - pretty quiet the weekend we were there (late June). Facilities are basic (water, bathroom, and access to showers) but being next to the river was great and the views are awesome. Lot's of space to move around and the kids had a blast.
Could be a great campground but it felt like they jammed in 3x as many sites as there should be. "Premium" tent sites ($35+tax) should not be one on top of another with no privacy/seclusion. Shower came with this price but they were in an abandoned building 1/4 mi down the road, kind of creepy and looks like they ran out of money to develop. There was also a single pit toilet for I'd guess 50 sites.....but it was amazingly clean! Great location to bike trails and beautiful area. 3 stars just for the poor value compared to all the State and Nat'l Forest campgrounds in the area.
This campground is BEAUTIFUL and the perfect place for the adventure seeker in Moab. All in one day we walked down to the Moonflower petroglyphs, hiked Pritchett Canyon, and took the ATV on the Moab Rim Trail. Kane Creek is also just outside of town so we were close enough to go grab a bite to eat in town that night. Be warned though! The great views of the river bring plenty of Mosquitoes. Take plenty of firewood and bug repellent and they will leave you alone.
They've raised the price of camping, without any upkeep or upgrades. It's really gone down hill. No firepits or camp areas distinguished. Used to love this area.
Worst campground of many we used in the US. The location is splendid but the maintenance is bad. The fee is 30$ but should be no more than 5$. No toilet paper in the toilets (only at the entrance, far from all sites) but lots of used toilet paper and garbage under the tamarisks. Deep car ruts where you would like your tent.
