But, in the morning, we had the most wonderful time exploring the canyon and checking out the many features. It is a natural playground.

Coolest place! A real ancient Indian latter you can still climb today! Beautiful view, near campgrounds!

I love this campground! I stay here every time I go to Moab. The rate is $15 a night, which is deposited in a slot at the entrance to the campground. Campgrounds are very spacious, and could easily accommodate 3 tents. I believe every campsite has a fire pit. The parking lot has a capacity of 20+ cars. There is an outhouse, and the campsite itself is about 5 minutes outside town, with McDonald's about 10 minutes away. There aren't any showers, but you can get one for $3 at the Lazy Lizard Hostel, which is about 15 minutes traveling south on Main Street. What makes this campsite amazing is the Indian ladder on the right side of the entrance, which allows climbers to gain access to a 5'x12' stone slab about 50' off the ground. It's an awesome place for a picnic, with views of the Colorado River and the cliffs of Wall Street on the other side. Another cool feature is the rock pool at the end of the canyon.

However, I must warn: the mosquitoes were the worst I have ever experienced in evening and night. Only by building a large smokey fire and using a lot of citronella could we bear to not run off to a hotel. This was on a late June night.

A nice narrow canyon with picnic tables and limited camping. Nice day hike.

An excellent little gem on the side of the road! We camped here one night. It was a beautiful experience.

This place is great for families. The hiking is safe and fun for kids. There is a big fun tree for kids to play on at the beginning of the trail. The hike is about .8 of a mile round trip. There is a fantastic pool of water to check out at the end of the trail. There are petroglyphs near the beginning of the trail.
