Great resource for planning your trip into the park. Make sure to check with the rangers for hikes or roads that may be closed due to weather or construction. Made sure to use the restrooms here and fill up in water. You can buy water bottles in the gift shop if needed.
The Moab Information Center was excellent! We arrived late in the afternoon and we wanted to try to see both Arches and Canyonland National Parks the next day. We got great information on the best hikes in Arches and when to go (EARLY!). We found the best place to go to see a sunrise (Dead Horse State Park). The staff there were super helpful and we had a great 2 day stay in Moab and the surrounding area!
Such sweet and helpful staff over there! My husband and I even had Amazon packages sent there for no charge. Exceptional service!
We stopped here soon after arriving in Moab and so glad that we did! The staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgable. They really helped us better pinpoint the hikes that we wanted to do in Arches and Canyonlands. Great place to stop to learn more about the area!
Seemed like tons of great info and also great quality gifts and wares pertaining to the Moab area and the nearby National Parks. However, our time here was greatly sullied by a very negative staff member who continually scolded our children for touching items (I'm sorry, but even us adults usually handle items before we purchase them, so I was a bit confused about his disgust over normal retail environment behaviors) and generally treated us like we were not welcome in the space. I am not sure if we were just in Moab toward the end of tourist season and maybe people there are just "done" with tourists and out-of-towners, but we were surprised and a bit saddened by the rudeness of various service/retail staff around town; our experience here definitely being one of the more notable. =(
