Navtec did an AMAZING job with out one day white water rafting adventure. The guides were fun and experienced and made the entire trip a joy. Great sights and even opportunities to free float down the Colorado itself. Rapids were mostly 2s and 3s, though there were a few 4s... Definitely recommend
There are a lot guide companies to choose from in Moab, but we chose Navtec for our float trip because of cost and their reputation as one of the longest running operations in town (40+ years). We were not disappointed.
We did the half day rafting trip. It was so much fun!! The Rapids weren't very big but there is nothing they can do about that. They had 4 rafts going down together so we were able to have water fights with each other and at calm parts in the river we were able to jump in.
During the drive out to the river, a guide named Tubbs, shared some of the history of the land and pointed out interesting features. Once on the water, we were matched with Patrick, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to make sure the kids had a blast. Or kids loved it and can't wait for their next river adventure.
We chose the half-day float trip, which is an easy paddle with only four rapids (two class 1's and two class 2's) because we have small children who have never been rafting. The experience could not have been more professional or enjoyable.
NAVTEC has their own purpose designed power raft that is an amazing boat, and allows for a very comfortable 2 day Cataract Canyon trip. Our guide Gunnar was a seasoned professional, a true river man. He worked tirelessly to make our experience wonderful. He is an excellent campfire cook, and even pulled off pineapple upside down cake in his Dutch oven. All of this was done with a smile, even at the end of a long tiring season. A fabulous trip.
Our rafting guide Cheyenne was awesome, but there was not much rapids on the river. Doug did a great job taking us around Arches. He really knows the park and the history of the area.
We took the 1/2 day raft trip followed by the 1/2 day 4 x 4 drive into Arches. Our trip was almost cancelled due to not enough customers so Navtec offered to find another company to take us. We were able to change dates and still go with Navtec, but I really appreciate them trying to take care of us.
